All yoga can be defined by Sutra 1.2. ‘Yoga is stilling the modifications of the mind’.

Kriya, Pranayama and Meditation

Level: all

This class is ideal for those who need a slow introduction to yoga. We begin with basic poses in a chair to warm up the body for deep breathing exercises and we end with 15 minutes of seated meditation. The purpose of this class is to create resilience in our senses. Meditation is a key part of stress management and emotional regulation! This class comes with a 7 day recording for home practice.

Wednesdays 7.00 - 7.45 am

Vinyasa Krama Beginners

Level: beginner

Our beginner class offers more time and explanation to learn the foundations of Vinyasa Krama. By synchronizing breath with movement, utilizing muscular stability, soft gaze points, and gentle breath retentions we find a natural flow. The postures can be modified, broken down and made accessible to meet the needs of the students, while still maintaining the framework of safe sequencing. This class is suitable to all students regardless of their level or experience in yoga.

Saturdays 7.00 - 8.20 am

Vinyasa Krama

Level: beginner to intermediate

Vinyasa Krama Yoga classes are grounded in the Krishnamacharya tradition by synchronizing breath with movement, utilizing muscular stability (bandha), soft gaze points (dristi), and gentle breath retentions (kumbhaka). The class is ever changing and the intention of practice is to establish a firm connection to your center-self.  Variations range from beginner to advanced practitioner.

Mondays 7.00 - 8.20 am

Sadhana

Level: intermediate to advanced

The sadhana class is based on the general teaching of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. We start with breathing exercises (pranayama), followed by a slow warm up (kriya), and spend time exploring different standing flows for functional movement (vinyasa krama). We end with various floor flows and offer free space for personal closing poses and meditation. It is so hard to explain this class outside of the simple word sadhana. Vinyasa Krama in sadhana class comes from my teacher and what he studied with Sri T. Krishnamacharya - it is profound and deeply effective!

Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:20 am / Thursdays 7.00 - 8.20 am
